The venerable man from Michigan (via Toledo, Ohio) Arthur Hills designed the Ironhorse Country Club golf course in 1989, making it tough but fair, easy on the eyes and a pleasure to play. Some have even declared it a golfing adventure! Water will be your biggest challenge on the course (15 holes have it) and many forced carry situations keep all levels of players on their toes. In short, Ironhorse is an 18-hole classic dedicated to the traditions of golf and its devotees, and this pristine course and friendly, expert staff bring players back again and again. In 2006 it underwent a $3.5 million refurbishment to keep everything top notch. By all accounts this golf course is enjoyable to play and a challenge to everyone who takes it on. Some call it a must-play course. But you’ll have to find that one out for yourself.

It doesn’t seem as if your Ironhorse Country Club home is in South Florida, because here you will see lakes full of water lilies, a nature preserve next door, pine tree lined fairways and a rustic natural landscape. But best of all perhaps, is that you can live here, close to what you love to do. Golf homes for sale at Ironhorse are large and lovely, and lie along beautiful streets shaded by tree canopies. Ironhorse homes are modern and spacious, with pillared living areas, majestic staircases, and extremely well appointed kitchens and baths.
